"I didn't really know how to play the piano, having never been formally trained, I played by ear. I had spent months in a dark piano room searching for my emotions at the piano keys. The mood music piece wasn't originally designed for any dance, yet it fit the dancer's moves perfectly and was well received. I didn't follow music for quite some time after that, having drifted in and out of depressed and emotionally distraught mental states until 1994 when I heard Yanni's music in the Underwater World video from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Shortly thereafter, I saw Yanni's Acropolis video that changed my life forever.  I became interested in the universe, ancient history and began to sing again. Yanni's music lifted me out of depression and I began to live again. Yanni's music deeply affected me and my subconscious to the point I believe this site came into being because of the life and love that is in Yanni's music. I didn't create it consciously with him in mind. It is my subconscious working on this site. Yanni's music is a living entity. It lives and I believe it is eternal.

Years later, in 2003, I had an opportunity to meet Yanni on February 15, 2003 on his book signing tour in San Francisco. The day I met him there was the largest march for peace in world history. The odds of this happening and the timing of it are truly a miracle. I would have not had an opportunity to meet him any other way because I don't go to live concerts or parties. For anyone who doubts him, Yanni is for REAL! His book explains the incredible obstacles to achieving his dreams and he overcame them all. While there are those leaders who want to so easily destroy with bombs, there is an opposing force coming from people like Yanni. - Cheryl Merrill
